we introduce to you, the nighttime attractions of Seoul.

A rather different charm of Seoul compared to the daytime!

We would like to introduce the nighttime attractions of Seoul, where you can enjoy

a romantic atmosphere along with the lights of the city, which turn on, one by one.

A city that is even more beautiful at night,

Seoul’s representative palaces will be open at night, so that visitors can enjoy nighttime strolls through the beautiful palaces, along with the fresh air. You can enjoy the nightscape at 4 palaces: Gyeongbokgung, Changgyeonggung, Changdeokgung, Deoksugung, and you can encounter different nighttime views at each of the palaces, so please visit them if you have the time. The admission fee and the tour course are different for each palace.

  • Gyeongbokgung
    • - Date and time: 2019.06.16~06.23 / 19:30~22:00 (last entry 21:00) closed Tuesdays
    • - Reservation: via Internet, phone or on site.
    • - Location: Line 3, Gyeongbokgung Station
  • Changgyeonggung
    • - Date and time: open until 9 pm except on Mondays (last entry 20:00) closed Mondays
    • - Location: Line 4, Hyehwa station, 5th exit, 10 minutes’ walk
  • ChangdeokGung
    • - Date and time: 2019.08.22~10.27, closed Tuesdays
    • - Reservation: via Internet from the 7th of August (30,000 KRW / 2 tickets reservation per person possible)
    • - Location: Line 3, Anguk station, 3rd exit, 10 minutes’ walk
  • Deoksugung
    • - Date and time: every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, 19:00~20:39 (last entry 20:00)
    • - Location: line 1 & 2, City Hall Station, 2nd exit

Naksan Park, where you can enjoy a stroll along the castle

‘Naksan Park’, a nighttime attraction where you can see the Seoul nightscape at a glance. The Seoul scenery just around the mountainside is a sight to behold. Lighting is installed along the castle’s path, so you can take pictures while taking a stroll. The Maronie Park, as well as Ihwa Mural Village, where you can feel the excitement of the youth, are also nearby so we suggest that you take a look at those places prior to seeing the nightscape at Naksan park.

  • Location: Line 4, Hyehwa station 2nd exit, 10 minutes’ walk in the direction of Naksan Park.

Seoul’s Landmark, Namsan Tower

‘Namsan Tower’, a Seoul’s landmark that shines brighter in the night. It is a good sight to see from afar, but actually going to the top of the observatory to see the Seoul nightscape will be a special memory to have. You can visit the tower via a cable car, or the Namsan walk trail.

The Night View, exuding the history of Seoul, Seoul-ro 7017

Seoul-Ro 7017 is a former overpass transformed into a walking trail, so that anyone can easily access the park’s walking trail. It is a good place to take pictures of the nightscape as well as for those who want to take a brief moment of rest, since they have stores, galleries, and cafes. There are many buildings which have left the exterior of the buildings as is, so visit Seoul-ro 7017 if you are interested in how Seoul used to look in the past.

Enjoy a Nightscape at a Lake in the Night Seokchon Lake

At Seokchon Lake, you can enjoy the lake’s nightscape as well as the city’s nightscape. If you saw the stunning exterior of the Lotte Tower, how about enjoying the Seoul nightscape in one view by visiting Seoul’s highest observatory, ‘Lotte Tower Seoul Sky’. Songridan-Gil near the Seok-chon Lake is famous for beautiful cafes and good restaurants, so if you have the time, please go visit.

Night Views at Beautiful Hangang Banpo Hangang Park

Banpo Hangang-Jigu district, where you can encounter the Bamdokkaebi Night Market, Sebit Island Tubester, as well as the Rainbow Fountain Show. An island floating on the Han River, the Bamdokkaebi Night Market, which sells delicious food and various items, and the Rainbow Fountain Show which starts around sunset, is definitely something we recommend you to see.
