Definition
Dentures are a prosthetic appliance that can be attached and removed by the patient. It is important to create dentures to ensure excellent chewing ability and aesthetic quality. In addition, as the material used to make dentures varies according to the patient’s dental condition, an accurate diagnosis is necessary.
Denture Types
1. Full Dentures: Dentures supported by the gums as there are no teeth left.
2. Partial Dentures: Dentures to supplement the lost teeth when there are some teeth remaining
3. Implant Dentures: When there are almost no normal teeth left, a small number of implants are inserted to reinforce the full gripping force of the dentures. In general, a denture attachment is created using 2 - 6 implants.
