    About clinic

Dubalo Hospital, founded in 2019, is an orthopedic specialty hospital guided by the mission, “We will run for you to run again.” Led by specialists in foot and ankle orthopedics as well as pediatric orthopedics, the hospital has earned nationwide trust in the fields of foot and ankle care and pediatric orthopedics. Through continuous patient-centered research and extensive clinical experience, we are committed to delivering care that places patients first.
The foot is the foundation of the whole body. When the alignment of the foot collapses, it can trigger a chain of problems affecting the knees, spine, shoulders, and other joints throughout the body. In response, Dubalo Hospital has established an integrated care system that takes a comprehensive approach not only to foot and ankle disorders but also to the knees, spine, and shoulders, enabling us to identify the underlying cause and provide systematic and effective treatment.

    Specialized Medical Dept

▣ Specialized Care in Foot & Ankle, Pediatric Orthopedics & Growth, Shoulder, and Knee Disorders
At Dubalo Hospital, we offer specialized diagnosis, treatment, and collaborative care provided exclusively by foot and ankle specialists, pediatric orthopedic specialists, pediatric and adolescent specialists, and shoulder and knee specialists.
    1. Hallux Valgus (Bunion) Corrective Surgery
Hallux valgus is a condition in which the big toe bends toward the second toe, causing a bump to form on the inner side of the big toe. Surgery is essential for the definitive treatment of hallux valgus, and at Dubalo Hospital, we perform microsurgical correction. This procedure involves making a minimal incision in the affected area, using specialized instruments to shave down the protruding bone, and straightening the bone under X-ray guidance. Also, we determine the surgical approach by considering the patient’s age, the severity of the deformity, and the specific areas causing the most discomfort. The procedure typically takes between 30 minutes and one hour, and is usually performed under regional anesthesia to ensure a safe and comfortable
    experience.
    2. Flatfoot Reconstruction Surgery
Based on extensive experience and continuous research in flatfoot corrective surgery, our hospital developed the Medial Column Stabilization(MSC) procedure for flatfoot correction and became the first institution in the world to publish its clinical outcomes.
    3. Achilles Tendon Reconstruction
Achilles tendon rupture surgery is performed through minimal incisions only in the areas requiring repair, resulting in reduced scarring and faster recovery after surgery. Surgical repair significantly lowers the risk of re-rupture, making it a particularly recommended treatment option for active and younger patients.
    4. Pediatric Valgus/Varus knee Correction Surgery
For children who still have remaining growth potential, Dubalo Hospital performs a guided growth procedure known as temporary hemiepiphysiodesis. In this procedure, one side of the growth plate is temporarily restrained using a specialized device, allowing the opposite side to continue growing. This enables gradual and natural correction of the leg alignment during the child’s growth process.
    5. Ankle Cartilage Stem Cell Therapy
Ankle cartilage stem cell therapy offers the advantage of preserving and regenerating the patient’s own cartilage tissue. With a cartilage regeneration success rate of approximately 70–80%, this treatment has demonstrated highly effective clinical outcomes. Our foot and ankle specialists have successfully treated ankle cartilage injuries for more than a decade, supported by extensive clinical experience unmatched by many other institutions.
▣ Systematic Rehabilitation & Functional Recovery Program
Operated by the Functional Recovery Center(FRC) with many experienced physical therapists and athletic trainers who had worked with professional sports teams in the past.
Comprehensive preoperative and postoperative rehabilitation programs
Operation of a hyperbaric oxygen therapy system (multi-person chamber), which promotes postoperative recovery and edema control, while also stimulating the secretion of Insulin-like Growth Factor-1 (IGF-1) in growing children, thereby supporting height growth and overall development.
